Why I chose World Race

Hello, everyone. For my first blog post, I thought it would be fitting to share my current state of mind, and why I chose World Race. I recently graduated from high school and to be honest, I’m pretty unsure on where to go from here. Because of this, I have decided to take a gap year to get as much experience as I can to gain self-confidence and to open my eyes to a variety of opportunities I could pursue. A teacher of mine introduced me to World Race, and it seems like the perfect fit. The route I’m working towards goes to Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and it’s three months in length. I’ve never been on a mission trip and I’ve never even been out of the country for more than a week or so, so it’s pretty nerve-racking for me, but I think it would be best to put all of my fears behind me and jump right in. I’m also pretty nervous about raising all of the funds, but if this is what the Lord has planned for me, he will provide.
